Description:
"Is there more to life than this?"

What Is Alpha?

Alpha is for:
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Adults of all ages are welcome.
Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have fun at the same time.
People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.
Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile.

Who is Alpha For?
Alpha is for everyone! It's especially geared to:
* People interested in investigating Christianity.
* Newcomes to the church.
* New Christians.
* Couples preparing for marriage.
* Christians who want to brush up on the basics.

What Happens at Alpha?
There is a series of talks on topics such as:
* Who Is Jesus?
* Why Did Jesus Die?
* Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
* Why and How Do I Pray?
* What About the Holy Spirit?
* How Can I Overcome Evil?
* Why and How Should I Tell Others?

Alpha - The Christian Basics for Everyone (Thursdays) ::

Alpha Course - The Christian Basics for Everyone ::
Thursdays, September 9 - November 18
6:30pm (in Host Homes)

     If your non-Christian family member asked you, “Why did Jesus die?” would you be able to give a good answer? And why should we read the Bible? Is it really trustworthy? How does prayer work anyway? And how can I know if God is guiding me? We’ll explore these questions and more in the Alpha Course.
     Alpha is a 10-week course with a one-day weekend retreat that addresses the basics of the Christian faith. Whether you’re a skeptic, a new believer, or a lifelong Christian, you will enjoy this enlightening course. Alpha groups will begin meeting in homes on Thursday, January 28 at 6:30pm.
     Please register for the class with Cari Robinette at 281-488-5111, x135 or click on REGISTER NOW to sign up online.
